Do you feel like you are alone? Do you feel that you want to have someone to believe in to strive for betterment? Do you feel the need to be accepted? Do you feel that despite you not wanting to be attached, you still deep inside need to?

Every individual somewhere deep within has this need of feeling accepted and belonged. Abraham Maslow, a famous American psychologist gave the theory of the Hierarchy of Needs which showcases how every person to reach the stage of self-actualization has to first be satisfied with physiological needs, safety needs, love and belongingness, and esteem needs. While physiological and safety needs focus on the necessities of a human, love, and belongingness are something a person can live without but can’t be fully satisfied with their life.

“Love and Belongingness” is a need because despite not accepting it, a person wants to feel that they can depend or have someone to relate to and aren’t alone on this planet. Most of all, figuring out one’s potential comes out with one’s life experiences in every aspect of one’s life and thus, to assure their capability and knowing they will have someone to rely on or feel loved by, a person can be mentally well and assure growth in their life domains. Feeling loved or belonged can make a person feel that they aren’t alone and give us reassurance that we will be helped and taken care of when the moment arrives. Sometimes, not having that sense of belongingness can make one feel not wanting to achieve anything as they don’t feel motivated to be self-actualized and thus can end up either being laid back or careless though it doesn’t need to happen in case it does you can sit back and give it a thought and if it still confuses you or entangles your thoughts then don’t hesitate in contacting us, do let us know and we are here to help you always!
